Pros and cons of Wise app for iPhone and iPad

The app is great but when you try to send money from Brazil to EUR or any other currency in the app its not possible, just in the website.

There is no Brazil currency on app. Only on the site . Pls correct it asap

This is the best app ever ! I always send money using this and its so fast and we can really trust ! They really care about the costumers too, once I had problems but was my mistake and they called me to give me all the support and help me to fix the problem !

Im using it every month and had about no problems! Fast, easy and secure. Like it a lot!!

It has become so easy to transfer money abroad with just few clicks and in few days! App is well designed and built with sections that are most relevant for the user.

Some bad moments

The app service is bad . To tell people they save money from bank transfer but that also mean you have to wait 5 -7 days for recipient to receive money . If you want a cheap service but slow to receive the money then good luck .

I use TransferWise to send money from Brazil, but I cant use this app because they do not offer this option in the app. Go figure...

If you are sending CAD at source, be aware that there are additional steps of providing certified copies of your identity. I wish the app refused to accept money without uploading documents and provided proper directions for setting up from Canada. Turns out more information can be found on the website which cannot be found in the app. Highly misguiding imo. My friends use it and have no problems. So I may give this another try.

For the business model alone, I would give 5 stars. But there are serious glitches in the application both on iOS and the web application. The main problem is the "out of sync" message and notifications. I personally use chrome and iOS to make and review my transfers. The status messages are never in sync with each other. This causes confusion to the user; for example, I ended up paying twice for single transfer, then had to follow up waking up very early morning to talk to their UK support folks to get this sorted out. If the messaging and notification are in sync and if there are more user input options, the ease of using the application will improve. On cancellation function there is a problem. On the web, the application asks if the payment was made. On the iOS app, the app does not ask the question. Why do you even ask the question? You should check what the last action was from the user, payment or no payment. This should solve all your shortcomings. Please fine tune your implementation, remove glitches, redundancies and make the steps and user information very simple and clear. These are basic functions of good applications. Unfortunately you lack in it right now. I will give you 1 star for all the flaws and inconvenience.

Transfer us expensive and takes long time. Why not use free bitcoin alternative, which theyre afraid so much of.
